- Don’t go up on your roof. It is dangerous and many times you can’t spot the damage.
- Look at the house from the ground, for visible hail damage on your home.
- Dented or cracked shingles.
- Dents in metal.
- Roof Leaks.
- Missing shingles,
- Shingle granular piles at downspouts.
- Siding & paint dings, dents, chip, cracks & holes.
- Have a professional inspect the roof for damages.
- Beware of scams, Storm chasers, and Out of State Contractors.
- Do not hire someone who knocks at your door
- Hire only locally owned
- Licensed
- Fully Insured
- Registered in your state
- Physical company address (no P.O. Boxes)
- Never give anyone upfront cash (only pay when work is in progress)
- Use caution if they show up on convicted criminal list.
- If they inspect and find damages from the storm.
- Have your insurance company inspect the roof. An insurance adjuster will come to your home and inspect your roof for you. Be aware some insurance companies will list a claim on your record, even if no damages are found. Check with you agent.
